One of the warmest winter socks! The 96% Merino Wool Weekender socks were designed for comfort and versatility! All natural merino wool is great at wicking away moisture keeping your socks smelling fresh after multiple wears. No design or logo means it can be dressed up or down depending on the situation. Best of all it can be worn all year round due to its loose knit lightweight construction and wool's natural temperature regulating capabilities. Why we use merino wool in our socks: Merino wool is a type of wool that comes from a merino sheep. It is the finest wool on the market, making the fabric soft and itch-free. It is also breathable and temperature-regulating, so your feet are not too hot or cold. Merino is one of the best fibre for wicking moisture as it can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture and moves it from your skin to the outside of the fabric, where it evaporates. Great socks: warm (but not too warm), comfortable, and not itchy. I think the warmth level is good for most of the year. Spending time outside on hot days or very cold days you would want something else.Definitely a great deal for this high percentage of merino wool at this price.Only one problem, and it's my fault for not looking in the description, is that they fall down a bit. The description clearly says that it has no elastic (which is why the socks can be a high % merino). I still plan on buying some more, so it's not a big problem. On the fit: I wear shoes somewhere between size 9-10. If I leave the socks a bit loose, the heel sit right on my heel. If I pull the socks tight, the heel starts coming up my ankle. So for size 9-12, you should be all right. For size 8-9, you may want to try a pair first before you put in a big order.
