Was pretty impressed, comfort and compression-wise for the first few times I used them. But two improvements are needed:First, the top of the sock does not come up past where the top of my calf begins to taper down to my knee area. As a result, the top begins to roll down the calf, and that gathered roll really digs (painfully!) into my calves. They really need more length to avoid this.Secondly (and maybe related to the first point), besides being a bit to short in length, the top of the sock has no broad elastic are that helps prevent that roll-back action. The feet and ankle areas are very comfortable, but the painful roll-back makes me hesitant to wear them. The socks are very soft. They are thicker than I expected so I do not want to wear them with my normal shoes as I do not want to stretch my shoes out. Additionally I bought the size large and I wished that the leg part was longer. I am 5’8” and my shoe size is 10 1/2. The foot part is fine for fit but if I pull the socks up higher it makes the foot part too small. These are my favorite socks!!! I am a little discouraged by the price compared to the durability. I have worn holes in more of these then I probably currently have, to the point where when one sock gets a hole I throw it out but save the other so the next time it happens now I have another pair. I really do love them but the high price added with the durability has had me searching for alternatives. There have been several reviews which mentioned the durability of the sock. I’ve only been wearing the socks for about two weeks, however, they are holding up very well.I have four pairs so I alternate them and do not wear a pair more than one a single day. They are quite different from other elastic socks in that they include a wool blend.I have found that the toebox does not pull my toes together and cause discomfort through the day.I do not wear the socks while sleeping. The socks do leave a light rib to compression on my lower calves however, this goes away within a few minutes after removing the socks. In the way the socks are designed the top of the ankle area has a different stitching than the calf area. There is no seam onThe toebox so there’s no issue with constricting or tightening or rubbing in that area.I have tried other compression socks and have gone to these as my preferred type of compression socks.Although the copper fit brand was very good it did have comfortable compression, the toebox area was so tight it pulled my toes together all day and I was getting irritation in that area. The wall compression socks, or wall blend, do not have that or create that issue for me.Once you order a first pair they include a coupon card and the socks packaging.Wanderlust, ThrillTrek Merino Wool Graduated Compression Socks, LargeI sometimes get muscle pulls in my calves and that can be problematic. I am trying these Wanderlust compression socks to help that. Upon opening the zip top bag they are packaged in, I removed a very soft pair of socks. They are a wool blend pair and I was very impressed by the luxurious soft feel. When I stretched them to put one on my foot I could been the extra resistance of a compression sock. They are also somewhat thick but not so thick that they'd crowd your foot in a shoe.I pulled them on to my leg and while it's a bit of a struggle it's not as difficult as some I've used on my mom for her edema. I'd call this a medium high compression feeling. I pulled them on and up my leg to a little below my knee. The large size fit my size 11 feet and my shoes perfectly. I had no issues getting into my shoes and the stayed up in my feet all day. They didn't move or roll down or anything bad. They were great. They made my feet feel good all day with a lot of walking.I'm very happy with these compression socks. They are comfortable, provide support and keep my feet warm but not hot. I enjoyed wearing them and will continue to do so. Long term I'll see how they hold up and will report any failings if the occur. I'm sure you'll love these compression socks too. This product was provided at or nearly no cost for the purpose of evaluation and review. For me, these are perfect every day calf and ankle compression for the cooler months. Quality made socks! They are soft and warm. The only maybe not so good thing I can say is some people may like more compression in the foot area then these have to offer. The sizing is just such a big range. I wear a women’s 8 and they just were not that snug compression feeling in the foot area like in the rest of the sock. For me, I like that I can splay my toes easily in these and I have no issues. If I were looking for medical compression or workout socks I may choose something different. A+ from me though! I think they’d work great for some cool weather hiking. The socks are very nice-looking and would be comfortable if they were large enough. I wear a size 12 shoe and ordered a large, but I'd estimate that it wouldn't fit larger than a size 10 properly. The heel-to-toe section needs to be at least 1" longer for me, and the upper section needs to be at least 2" longer. The ratings below are assuming the proper fit.The compression helps with tired legs and sore feet. Very comfortable. I machine wash them, using a mesh laundry bag, in cold water and hang to dry. So far, they have held up well.
