I had ankle surgery 6 months ago and spent most of the time in a wheelchair as I was non-weight bearing on my right foot. Due to some complications from surgery, I spent 6 months in the wheelchair instead of the 3 it was supposed to be. My foot had a tendency to stay swollen or swell up hugely once I could walk again. My doctor provided a white compression sock which I found to be quite painful as I had developed neuritis in both my feet due to the surgery and the overuse of my left foot. I saw these on Amazon and they had many good reviews so I decided to try them. They work! I can adjust the compression level and keep my foot from swelling without the pain of neuritis forcing me to remove them. I got a size larger than I needed because I was afraid of developing the neuritis pain again and it was the right decision. I also ordered the knee length as my entire right leg tended to swell due to an ankle support brace that I continue to wear. They are soft, easy to hand wash and hang to dry and are available in many colors rather than the dull white ones that the medical profession offers. Plus they are much easier to get off and on than the medical grade compression socks. I highly recommend these socks and recommend you order a size larger than you need if you have to wear a support brace of any kind and especially if you are dealing with neuritis.
