The zipper works great!I had swollen feet/ankles from surgery and was on a diuretic but couldn't get the swelling to go down. Three days after wearing these socks, my feet/ankles are back to normal! The socks do run on the small side so you might want to order up a size. My calves are 15" and I ordered the S/M size.I have one pair of these but I'm back to order more.These are not horribly tight, maybe not as tight as others might be but I like them. I don't want to order others that might not fit as well or be too tight for me to get on.I'm happy with these. Ordering two more pair.I wear compression socks every day to work as a nurse and one of the biggest struggles is getting them on and pulled up in the morning. Thought the zipper would make these easier to put on and sure enough it did, although it was a little tricky to hold the two sides together with one hand while zipping with the other while bent over.headline says it allGot these for my mom her feet are size 6 wide the socks were too tight by the ankle and the zipper doesn't look that comfortable. A size bigger they would be too big. The quality and material isn't that great not worth the return best option is to keep looking to see if there is anything better.Purchased for my elderly Mother, who has had great difficulty and strain applying her circulatory aids each morning. The ‘zipper style’ has been a huge benefit in her compliance as she doesn’t become fatigued when applying them as she did with other non zipper style stockings. A huge blessing!!These compression stockings run very small. I needed to return for L/XL for my Mother and she is a petite lady. The L/XL are fine however. And having a zipper makes it much easier to put on and take off.
