They work and fit. I am a guy, but needed compression and open toe. I sort of was on my own as to finding these things, so tried a number of different things. I needed open toe, as swelling had compromised the skin on my feet, so while I could wear regular socks at night, I wanted my feet to be able to air our at night. These were great. I am 6'4"~5" (depending on which doctor's office, I guess), and 260~280 depending on the day, :p, so... yeah. I think I tried these in both extra large and 2xl. It was the 2xl that fit and worked. I can use the 1xl's, they just aren't very comfortable for long. More when I want to 'wring' things out for a few hours... or do penance. :p I think I'd rather do a hairshirt or self flagellation. I just don't have the tools for those.
