After I received my four pairs of fisherman socks, I wore one pair outdoor on the next day with shorts and a pair of 6" boots. It was 3 degree C. My legs and feet were still warm and the socks were still staying up on my legs after 10 hours of wearing.What I do not like them is at the foot of the socks. Like the old era socks, they do not have the elastic features that the fabric cannot stretch to fit our feet. Therefore the manufacturer makes the feet of the socks larger in order to fit various sizes of feet. I wear the US 10.5 size shoes. Therefore ,I bought the large size socks. When I wore this sock, the tip of its foot is 1" away my toes. The width of it is almost 1" wider than the width of my foot. Therefore , when I was walking, my feet were slipping around inside my socks. Also, the foot is not cushioned. I felt uncomfortable when my feet were slipping around inside my socks. There is no fun to wear these socks. I rather like to wear the cowboy over the calf socks for my causal outfit in winter. If you are not a fisherman, do not buy these socks unless you have large and thick feet.
